SATS injects $250m to boost ground operations at Changi Airport
The investment will cover two initiatives.
SATS will inject over $250m to boost Singapore Hub’s (SG Hub) ground operations and cargo handling infrastructure at Changi Airport.
The investment includes over $150m to be spent over the next five years for the renewal and expansion of SG Hub’s ground support equipment (GSE) fleet and $100m to enhance cargo operations over the next two years.
This move will support growing cargo volumes at Changi Airport until 2030 once Terminal 5 and Changi East Industrial Zone (CEIZ) commence operations.
“These upgrades and enhancements will enable us to support our airline customers more effectively and ensure that Singapore continues to excel as a world-leading air hub,” Henry Low, CEO of SATS Singapore Hub, said.
