SATS joins IATA environmental assessment programme

The company is the first ground handler in APAC to participate. 

SATS Ltd. joined the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Environmental Assessment Programme for ground-handling service providers, making the airport service company the first ground handler in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to participate.

The programme provides a consistent standard for improving environmental management in the aviation industry and aims to encourage continual improvements in performance through embedding environmental sustainability management in day-to-day operations and decision-making.

“Aligning ourselves with international best practices in environmental management allows SATS to plug into IATA’s platform to introduce world-class standards to the partners we support,” Bob Chi, SATS Ltd’s CEO of Gateway Services, said.
