SG and PH boost weekly codeshare services to 150

Currently, the countries have 35 weekly codeshare services.

Singapore and the Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding enhancing the 2010 bilateral Air Services Agreement (ASA).

The enhanced agreement will allow up to 150 weekly codeshare services to carry passengers between Singapore and Manila, with airlines from third countries as codeshare partners, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said.

The new limit will double by end-March 2026, and will be fully lifted by end-March 2027, it noted.

Authorities said there will be no limit on codeshare services between Singapore and other points in the Philippines, as well as between the city-state and any points in Manila involving airlines from ASEAN or the European Union.

The new agreement “allows Philippine airlines that are fully owned or controlled by nationals of other countries to access the traffic rights exchanged in the ASA, as long as their principal place of business is in the Philippines,” CAAS added.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
