SIA Group's passenger traffic jumps 11.7% MoM in December 2022

Year-on-year, passenger traffic increased four-fold.

Singapore Airlines and Scoot carried a combined 2.7 million passengers in December 2022, translating to an 11.7% MoM increase in the group's passenger traffic.

Year-on-year, the group's December traffic was up four-fold.

The group's passenger load factor (PLF) likewise rose last month, increasing by 3.8 percentage points MoM to 89.7%. The December 2022 record is the highest monthly PLF in the group's history.

Cargo operations, on the other hand, registered a load factor of 54.3%, 24.5 percentage points lower YoY.

Loads measured by freight tonne-kilometres likewise declined, decreasing by 18.9% YoY due to weaker cargo demand.

At the end of December 2022, the group’s cargo network comprised 116 destinations in 38 countries and territories, whilst its passenger network covered 111 destinations in 36 countries and territories.
