SIA injects $45m to revamp Changi Airport Terminal 2 lounges

The renovation will be completed by mid-2027.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will invest $45m to revamp its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 over the next two years.

Renovation works began on 15 April and will proceed in phases, with completion expected by mid-2027.

The renovation will add 50% more space and seating capacity as well as upgraded facilities and more food and beverage (F&B) options.

The new First Class SilverKris Lounge will be expanded and feature higher ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. It will also include an upgraded bar with a morning barista service, expanded live cooking stations, and a buffet.

The Business Class SilverKris Lounge will be 30% larger, featuring a rest area, a redesigned living room with varied seating, and productivity pods. The self-service buffet will offer an expanded menu, complemented by a new full-service bar.

In addition, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double its capacity with new amenities such as in-lounge restrooms and shower suites.

Renovation will start with the new First Class SilverKris Lounge, followed by the construction of the new Business Class SilverKris Lounge in Q4 2025, and the new KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Q1 2026.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
