SIA logs 7.4% higher revenue in October 2024

SIA and Scoot collectively serviced 3.3 million passengers during the month.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) carried over 2.24 million passengers in October, 12.9% higher compared to the same month in 2023, its latest operating results showed.

The group earned $12.93m in revenue for the month, a 7.4% year-on-year (YoY) rise. SIA alone accounted for $10.24m of the revenue, 11.9% YoY higher than a year ago.

Including Scoot, SIA carried over 3.3 million passengers in October, 7% YoY higher.

Scoot saw a decline in both revenue and passengers carried during the month. It logged a revenue of just $2.68m for the month, 7% lower than the $2.89m it earned in October 2023.

Scoot carried over 1.05 million passengers during the month, a 3.7% decline from the over 1.09 million passengers it serviced a year earlier.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
