Operating profit dropped 48.8% YoY to $796m.
Singapore Airlines Group's (SIA Group) net profit fell 48.5% YoY to $742m in H1 FY2024/2025 on weaker operating performance.
In H1, operating profit dropped 48.8% YoY to $796m.
Lower net interest income and a loss on disposal of aircraft, spares, and spare engines—compared to a gain last year—also contributed to the decline.
The group, however, had a 3.7% YoY higher revenue of $9.5b amidst healthy air travel demand.
In the first six months of FY2024/25, SIA and Scoot carried 19.2 million passengers, up 10.8% YoY.
