SIA passenger capacity up 10.6% m-o-m

Group passenger load was also up 9.2% percentage points for the month.

Singapore Airlines revealed via a press release that group passenger capacity was up 10.6% m-o-m,

The Group attributes this to the expansion of its Vaccinated Travel Lane Program to include nine more cities, namely, Chennai, Delhi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Mumbai, Seoul, Sydney and Zurich.

The value also reached 37% of pre-Covid levels, with the group passenger load factor increasing by 9.2 percentage points as well to 29.1%.

Cargo operations, meanwhile, saw a monthly cargo laid factor of 83.9%, or 1.5 percentage points lower y-o-y. This 38.1% growth in loads, however, lagged behind the capacity expansion of 40.8%. All route regions recorded lower CLF during the month as well, except for East Asia.

With the end of the month, the Group’s network covered 72 destinations, up by six compared to last month. Singapore Airlines’ full-service network had over 59 destinations, while Scoot served 25 destinations.
