SIAEC, Thales partner to explore business opportunities in Asia-Pacific

The companies will look into collaborating in areas such as component maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) and Thales Solutions Asia Private have entered into a legally non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore business development and collaboration opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.

The MOU aims to assess the feasibility of collaboration in areas such as component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), including leveraging Thales' MRO facilities in India and repair services under SIAEC’s Inventory Technical Management programmes and network of component shops.

“The potential collaboration with Thales could expand SIAEC’s component repair capabilities, network and service offerings to our airline customers for Thales’ components," said SIAEC Senior Vice President Component Services Bernd Riggers.
