SIA’s budget arm Scoot to take over some Jetstar Asia routes

It is looking to launch flights to Okinawa and Labuan Bajo.

Singapore Airlines’ budget arm Scoot will take over some routes run by Jetstar Asia, including flights to Okinawa in Japan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia.

Both routes were exclusively operated by Jetstar Asia.

Jetstar Asia, the budget carrier of Australia’s Qantas Airlines, had announced that it is closing on 31 July 2025.

It cited rising supplier costs, high airport fees, and strong regional competition.

Qantas announced on Wednesday that it will close its budget subsidiary, citing rising costs and fees, amongst others.
