Singapore Airlines, Garuda Indonesia expand commercial partnership in August

Key updates include joint fare sales and more codeshare routes.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Garuda Indonesia will strengthen their commercial partnership starting August 2025.

The strategic cooperation will include the joint sale of fare products, an expanded codeshare agreement, and reciprocal airport lounge access for frequent flyer members.

From August, customers can book flights operated by both airlines between Singapore and Indonesia in a single itinerary, giving more fare options and easier bookings.

The codeshare agreement will expand to include new destinations. Garuda Indonesia passengers will gain access to Singapore Airlines flights to Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, and Malé. SIA passengers will be able to connect to Garuda flights from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, and from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Manado.

Existing codeshare routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya will remain, along with SIA-operated flights to London and Mumbai.

From mid-August, GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members will get reciprocal access to airport lounges when flying between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, or Surabaya.

Eligible members can use SilverKris lounges in Singapore and partner lounges in Indonesia.

Miles can also be earned and redeemed on the new codeshare routes, continuing the frequent flyer partnership launched in February 2025.

In May 2025, SIA increased Singapore–Jakarta flights to nine per day. Garuda plans to raise Jakarta–Singapore services from six to seven daily flights in Q4 2025, pending regulatory approval, with further increases planned.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
