ESET wins two awards at Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025

The company earned recognition for leadership excellence and its commitment to diversity in technology.

ESET was recognised in two categories at the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025, taking home Executive of the Year - Computer Software for its Asia Pacific Region President, Parvinder Walia, and Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year - Computer Software.

These honours celebrate ESET’s outstanding leadership and enduring commitment to advancing inclusion within the cybersecurity industry. Under Walia’s direction, the company continues to shape a safer and more equitable digital future across the region.

Exceptional leadership

With over 15 years of experience, Walia leads ESET’s Asia Pacific operations with a focus on strategic growth, empowerment, and innovation. His leadership centres on driving business expansion, cultivating talent, and reinforcing cybersecurity awareness amongst consumers and organisations. Since establishing ESET’s regional headquarters in 2010, the company has achieved sustained revenue growth and operational excellence, supported by a culture of trust, empathy, and collaboration.

Amongst his notable contributions to the company include executing go-to-market strategies and expanding business operations, resulting in continued revenue growth and profitability.

Other efforts include Family Safety Online initiatives, ensuring parents and children enjoy the benefits of technology whilst staying safe.

Celebrating women in cybersecurity

ESET’s diversity leadership was further demonstrated through its 2025 International Women’s Day video campaign and the regional expansion of the ESET Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship to Singapore and India.

The scholarship, first introduced in Asia Pacific in Australia in 2022, offers financial support and internship opportunities to female students pursuing STEM degrees with a focus on cybersecurity. By linking its International Women’s Day celebration with the scholarship launch, ESET reinforced its commitment to empowering both current and future women leaders in technology.

The video campaign featured female leaders from ESET APAC sharing their personal journeys in a traditionally male-dominated field, sparking engagement across internal networks and social platforms. The scholarship expansion attracted significant attention from media and applicants alike, whilst internally, ESET APAC continues to maintain near gender parity, an uncommon benchmark in the tech industry.

The Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards honours visionary executives, innovators, and high-performing teams, as well as initiatives that champion diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and workplace well-being.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
