One Farrer Hotel & Spa bags SBR National Business Awards for Hospitality & Leisure

The 5-star hotel cements its place in the art world.

One Farrer Hotel & Spa is the leading 5-star urban hotel-resort in Singapore. One Farrer is defined by an intuitive and trend setting approach towards lifestyle and hospitality. It's focus on art has led One Farrer to publish "The Art Lifestyle Environment," the definitive book on The Farrer Park Company Art Collection published by One Farrer Private Limited. This is a first for a hotel in Singapore to be publishing an art-centric book showcasing the harmonious fusion of both art and hospitality. Because of this, One Farrer won the Singapore Business Review National Business Award for Hospitality & Leisure.

Launched on January 2016, the 240-page high definition full colour book showcased a comprehensive collection of the permanent and contemporary abstract art collection housed within the Connexion Campus. Highlighting over 700 individual pieces in the collection and representing over 60 well known and emerging artists living and working throughout Greater Asia, the book is about the unique and intuitive process of creating an art collection and chronicles a three-year-journey-from the genesis of a vision to the reality-of conceptualising and commissioning a rich collection.

Since publication, the book has successfully created buzz and interest for the complimentary art tour that the hotel offers. It has also been purchased by hotel patrons and residents both for souvenirs and gifts. Art Lifestyle Environment was featured in the media, on The Business Times, Singapore Tatler and TTG Asia. It is also available for sale at Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann City.

The launch of Art Lifestyle Environment has positioned One Farrer Hotel & Spa not only as a 5-star hotel, but one with a distinctive artistic approach towards luxury and hospitality, merging both elements to create a unique one-stop Total Lifestyle Experience for all guests and residents. Most recently in 2017, One Farrer was awarded as Best Luxury Art Hotel by World Luxury Hotel Awards, a global luxury hotels recognition award.

The SBR National Business Awards was held on May 17, 2018 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Ng Jiak See, executive director and head of corporate finance advisory at Deloitte Singapore & Southeast Asia; Choo Eng Chuan, ASEAN markets leader and partner, international and corporate tax services at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP; Toh Kim Teck, assurance partner at Foo Kon Tan LLP; and Henry Tan, managing director at NEXIA TS.
