IFCA MSC Berhad wins Mobile - Hospitality & Leisure trophy in Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards

Its touchless mobile internet hotel management solution HotelX leads in digitising hotel businesses in the hospitality industry.

The hospitality sector has been one of the most affected industries since the start of the pandemic. As the world progresses into the new normal, many businesses in the industry developing solutions and initiatives to provide guests with the safest experience possible and help hotels to overcome the severe economic impact caused by the novel coronavirus.

The safety of both guests and hotel staff is a top priority for hotel operators, and it has become a challenge during the pandemic. Recognising this, IFCA MSC BHD rolled out its flagship mobile internet hotel management solution, HotelX.

HotelX is a full-fledged, cloud-based platform that offers convenience through digital guest experience, from room booking to check-out. With HotelX, guests can even pay digitally and use their smartphones as a digital room key.

HotelX comes with a unique feature called Guest App, which allows guests to engage hotel services conveniently, allowing them to minimise physical contact and maintain hygiene levels. The Guest App also comes with a built-in hotel directory including facilities and ancillary services to provide guests with the ultimate convenience and experience.

It streamlines and digitises processes seamlessly, including the automation of pricing models with HotelX’s dynamic pricing functionality designed to optimise room sales. It also generates business insights instantly and delivers both the business and operational data insights hoteliers need to manage their hotel properties within a single platform.

The platform also leverages on hoteliers’ existing guests’ data to boost occupancy and increase sales in the hotel.

HotelX also comes with Corporate/Government/Travel Agent platform which gives the hoteliers the ability to create their authorised corporate/government/TA logID. Hence, email or phone calls are no longer required for them. Authorised corporations, governments and TA can log in and manage their reservations. This reduces the reservation workload when dealing with corporate/government/TA bookings.

With the success of the platform, IFCA was awarded the Mobile - Hospitality & Leisure trophy at the recently concluded Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review.

Now in its third year, the awards event recognizes organizations that dare to take risks and grab the reins in developing trailblazing innovations, digital services, reinvented strategies, and technological projects. The nominees were selected according to exceptionality and innovation, success, and impact as well as dynamism.

IFCA, with 30 years of proven track record as a business solution provider has collaborated with more than 180 hotels nationwide to understand their distinct challenges and bring digitalisation into the hospitality world.

Recently, the firm entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co Ltd to jointly explore digitalisation and innovative projects with cloud-based technology for business solutions. HotelX has also partnered with Revenue Monster, a financial technology company focused on enabling direct booking on hotels’ official websites.

Due to its success, HotelX has now emerged at the forefront of digitalisation catering to the hospitality industry in the new normal.
