Ascendas REIT's NPI up 5.3% to $160.5m in Q2

It acquired new properties in Singapore and Sydney.

Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust's (Ascendas REIT) net property income (NPI) for Q2 grew 5.3% YoY to $160.5m.

According to its financial statement, NPI was boosted by its newly acquired properties in Singapore and Australia.

There were contributions from newly acquired properties in the past year, namely, 12, 14 and 16 Science Park Drive in Singapore, 197-201 Coward Street in Sydney and 52 Fox Drive Dandenong South in Melbourne. This was partially offset by the divestment of A-REIT City @Jinqiao.

Distribution per Unit (DPU) grew by 1.1% YoY to 4.059 cents.

Overall portfolio occupancy rate improved year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter to 92.0% and portfolio rental reversion of +3.1% was achieved.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
