Ascendas REIT's portfolio occupancy slid to 93.6%

Versus last year's 94.6%.

According to Nomura, on a same-store basis, portfolio occupancy fell marginally from 94% to 93.6% during the quarter (vs. 94.6% a year ago). An average rental reversion of +9.6% was achieved during the quarter, although this was slower than the +14% achieved during the previous quarter. 

Pre-commitment at Nexus at One North was 55.7% as of end-June 2013, with another 5.7% under offer and 7.8% in negotiation, compared with around 50% as of end-March.

On the other hand, pre-commitment has yet to be announced for the new factory block under development at Techplace II, which is scheduled for completion in 4Q13. 

Along with the 1Q results, the manager announced three small asset enhancement initiatives at Techquest, LogisTech, and Corporation Place, which are estimated to cost SGD25.4mn in total.
