How much will it cost companies to fit out offices in Singapore?

JLL said the Lion City had amongst the biggest year-on-year increase in fit-out costs.

Companies planning to fit out offices in Singapore will need to spend at least US$113 per square foot, JLL revealed.

Depending on the style of fit-out to be done, the cost of a fit-out may increase to $144.

As per JLL, there are three fit-out styles, Progressive, Moderate, and Traditional.

Under the Progressive style, "traditional benching is approximately 60% of the floor area, with the remaining space given to meeting rooms and agile or collaborative work zone. For this style, it will cost US$144 per sq ft.

Traditional benching for a Moderate style is "70% of the floor area, with the balance given to meeting rooms and agile or collaborative work zones." This costs an average of US$123 per sq ft.

For the Traditional style, around 30% of the floor plan is dedicated to enclosed offices and traditional methods of working cover 90% of the floor area, with the balance given to meeting rooms and agile or collaborative work zones. This costs about US$113 per sq ft.

Since the type and quality of office furniture are critical to transforming the workplace, companies must also prepare to spend an average of US$37 per sq ft for such.
