Lendlease commences call for entries for reimagining of Somerset events space

The project is done in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board and TYC.

Lendlease Retail recently announced an open call for visual concepts and suggestions for its event space by the Grange Road open-air carpark.

The contest is done in collaboration with with Tell Your Children (TYC) a studio focused on creating visual content, and the Singapore Tourism Board. The space aims to highlight a lifestyle and entertainment experience, as well as a venue for events with Live Nation.

The contest will run from today until September 19, 2021.

“Through the contest, we hope to learn more about how the community envisions the new space in Somerset and be inspired to bring these creative ideas to life. The redevelopment will elevate the retail and lifestyle offerings along Orchard Road while strengthening Somerset’s reputation as a dynamic youth hub,” said Lendlease CEO Kelvin Chow in a press statement.

Creativity, originality and how effective the concept is in representing the space  will be the criteria for entries. From those submissions, three will be chosen as winners. The Grand Prize winner will have $1,000 worth of Lendlease vouchers and have their artwork used as inspiration for a live painting to be displayed on the site. Two runners-up, meanwhile, will win $500 worth of vouchers and have their pieces featured as digital artworks.

Participants will also gain a $10 voucher for their entries.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
