OUE REIT’s NPI rises 1.6% in H1 2024

The increase was due to a stable commercial property market and higher revenue from the hospitality sector.

OUE REIT recorded a revenue of $146.7m in H1 2024, up 5.7% year-on-year (YoY) from $138/8m in H1 2023.

Net property income (NPI) for the period increased 1.6% to $117.1m from $115.2m a year ago.

The increase was due to the stability of Singapore's commercial properties and higher contributions from the hospitality sector.

As of June 2024, OUE REIT’s Singapore office portfolio occupancy is 95.2% whilst average passing rent rose to S$10.57 per sq ft (psf) per month. Positive rental reversion for office lease renewals remained strong at 11.7% in 2Q 2024.

Meanwhile, revenue and NPI for the hospitality sector rose by 12.9% and 5.9% YoY to $51.7m and $45.5m respectively.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
