Singapore rises as 9th hottest market for flexible workspaces

Flex desk inquiries in Singapore rose 126% YoY.

Singapore is amongst the hottest markets for flexible workspaces, ranking 9th globally.

Data from The Instant Group showed that flex desk inquiries in Singapore soared 126% YoY.

Although demand for flex workspaces fell 27% YoY in 2023, The Instant Group underscored that Singapore’s compound average growth rate over the past five years of 4% indicates that “current demand levels are still above those seen pre-pandemic.

“These city-by-city fluctuations are demonstrative of a larger trend: the global flexible office market is maturing and will continue to do so in the coming year,”  The Instant Group said.

“Market maturation will require key players, such as landlords, operators, and investors, to understand the changing dynamics of flexible office demand. By using reliable insights and market data, business leaders can make more informed decisions that improve the efficiency of their workspaces,” the global marketplace for flexible workspace said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
