SLA revises land betterment charge rates for 4 use groups

The revised charges will apply until 28 February 2025.

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has revised the land betterment charge (LBC) rates for commercial (Group A), landed residential (Group B1), non-landed residential (Group B2), and hotel/ hospital (Group C) purposes. 

The revised charges will apply from 1 September to  28 February 2025. 

According to SLA, LBC rates for the use of Group A have increased by 1.5% on average. Fifty-two of the 118 sectors saw rates increase ranging from 3% to 5%.

For Group B1, the increase averaged 2.8%. Out of the 118 sectors under the group, 115 saw an increase of about 3%.

LBC rates for land used for hospital or hotel purposes increased by 0.6% on average, with 16 of 118 sectors posting an increase ranging from 3% to 6%.

Meanwhile, LBC rates for Group B2 decreased by 2.8%, with 116 of 118 sectors posting a rate decrease ranging from 2% to 16%.
