URA unveils 4th Rail Corridor community node

Ho Bee Land developed the 1.6-hectare community node.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority opened the fourth community node of the Rail Corridor, which offers inclusive spaces for play and community and cultural events.

The Buona Vista in one-north is also the first community node along the Rail Corridor’s southern stretch.

Ho Bee Land developed the 1.6-hectare community node in collaboration with JTC Corporation (JTC), the National Parks Board (NParks) and URA.

Features of Buona Vista include a children's playground with biophilic elements, fitness areas for adults and seniors, a 'plug-and-play' space under the North Buona Vista Link viaduct for fitness enthusiasts and community activities, and a 500 sqm community lawn that doubles as a flexible event space.

Meanwhile, the URA also announced the launch of From Dreams to "Rail-ity," an ideas competition for the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS).

URA is inviting the public to submit proposals that “reimagine the historic railway station as a vibrant and inclusive multi-functional building that is a key community node and southern gateway into the Rail Corridor, bringing together heritage, nature and communities. “

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
