Yubico opens 3rd global HQ in Singapore to lead APAC cyber defense

This is in addition to existing headquarters in Sweden and USA.

Yubico has established a third global headquarters in Singapore to expand its Asia-Pacific presence and support regional customers, according to a press release.

Jerrod Chong, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Yubico, said organisations in the region face new national regulations for identity protection. The expansion aims to support leaders in government, financial services, technology, telecommunications, and manufacturing.

The Singapore site joins existing headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, and Santa Clara, USA.

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is partnering with Yubico to develop talent. Soo Haw Yun, EDB Vice President, noted that the expansion aligns with growth in the digital economy and adoption of artificial intelligence.

Alvin Toh leads the Singapore office as Director and Vice President of Supply Chain Operations. Toh began his 12-year tenure at the company as an engineer.

Members of the global leadership team will maintain a regional presence to manage partnerships and meet demand for phishing-resistant authentication.

Yubico’s Secure it Forward programme provides hardware keys to groups including BuildingBloCS, BlahajCTF, and GIIS Tech Club. Partnerships with schools and universities aim to cultivate cybersecurity talent in Singapore.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
