Richard Mackender
Richard Mackender is an indirect tax partner with Deloitte Singapore. He specializes in GST and leads Singapore’s GST service line. He has more than 17 years of experience in this area. Richard’s primary focus is in advising large corporations on the indirect tax aspects of their activities. He also regularly works on M&A transactions, providing input on the indirect tax issues arising from transferring businesses, or on the GST issues for a sale of shares, as well as leading the indirect tax element of the due-diligence process.

With more than 25 years of experience at Deloitte, Richard currently serves as the Indirect Tax Leader for Deloitte in Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region.
Richard’s primary focus is advising businesses on the tax aspects of their activities from a Singapore perspective as well as when issues arise across Asia Pacific.
Richard is also the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for Deloitte’s Tax & Legal business in Southeast Asia.
Senthuran Elalingam
Indirect Tax Partner, Deloitte Singapore
Senthuran is the financial services industry indirect tax leader for Deloitte Singapore and Asia Pacific. He has over 20 years of experience in advising clients on indirect tax matters.
He has assisted numerous clients in understanding and implementing e-invoicing requirements as well as undertaking wider tax automation projects. He has also undertaken significantly indirect tax policy work and has presented before tax authorities in Australia, Malaysia, China and Singapore on indirect tax matters.
Senthuran was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Australia). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, Australia. He also holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is an Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with the Tax Institute of Australia (TIA).
Dr Ong Siew Yong
Tax Technology Consulting Director, Deloitte Singapore
Siew Yong is a Tax Technology Consulting Director at Deloitte Singapore, where her focus is on indirect tax technology, including indirect tax determination, compliance and e-Invoicing through native enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionalities and external solutions.
She has led projects related to electronic invoicing for global clients, and has deep experience in configuring ERP systems to meet country-specific tax requirements for multiple jurisdictions.
Siew Yong holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Birmingham.

Richard Yeh
Richard heads portfolio construction and risk management at Syfe, an online wealth manager based in Singapore that provides people with sophisticated investment solutions previously only accessible to institutional investors or high-net-worth individuals. In addition to his responsibilities at Syfe, he serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS Business School. He was the former CEO of UOB Merchant Bank as well as Lions Fairfield and an entrepreneur himself - when he started Applied Risk Management Systems in Singapore. Richard holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from the Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Honors from the University of Hawaii.
Rick Seeto
Rick Seeto is currently vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for sales and sales strategy within the geographical area encompassing Japan, Korea, Greater China region and southeast Asia. In this role, he leads the Ciena field sales teams and interfaces with a variety of communication service providers and internet content players to understand their business needs and ensure Ciena is delivering networking solutions that underpin their business success.
He brings to Ciena a wealth of experience working in the Asia Pacific region, previously holding several leadership roles within Nortel Networks including CMO of APAC, vice president of enterprise networks as well as positions managing partner programs. Prior to joining Ciena, Seeto oversaw sales and services at Citrix Systems APJ for their mobile data optimisation platform, and prior to that was a senior director at Avaya responsible for the APAC channel business and marketing.
Ricky Ho
Ricky Ho is the vice president of SSH Communications Security (SSH) for Asia Pacific Region. Prior to SSH, he was regional director at McAfee for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. Before joining McAfee, Ricky served as the managing director in companies such as TippingPoint and Fortinet. He has also served as the Country Manager of NetApp.
