Accounting, storage, and cargo handling prices rose in Q4 2024

Freight forwarding and sea freight transport prices fell during the quarter.

The prices of services in the warehouse & storage, accounting, computer consultancy & information, and cargo handling services increased in Q4 2024 compared to the previous quarter, according to March 2025 data by the Department of Statistics Singapore.

Accounting services prices rose 0.4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) in Q4 and is 6% higher compared to Q4 2023. Annually, accounting services’ prices are 6.4% YoY higher in 2024.

The prices of cargo handling services rose 0.2% QoQ and fell 1.3% YoY in Q4. For 2024, prices remained flat compared to the previous year. Container depot services and stevedoring services’ prices rose in 2024, offset by crane services prices falling during the year.

Computer consultancy & information services prices rose by 0.4% QoQ and 1.2% YoY. Prices are 1.2% YoY higher in 2024 than in 2023.

Freight forwarding services prices fell 0.9% QoQ, although it was not enough to deter the 0.4% YoY rise for the whole year.

Sea Freight Transport prices fell 8.3% QoQ in Q4 but are 12.8% You higher compared to Q4 2023. For the whole year, prices are 12.1% YoY higher.

Telecommunications services prices are 0.9% YoY lower in 2024. In Q4, prices were 0.3% QoQ lower than in Q3, and 1.1% YoY lower than in Q4 2023.

Warehouse and storage services prices are 1.4% QoQ higher and 3.9% YoY higher in Q4. For 2024, prices are 3.6% YoY higher.
