Chart of the Day: Private equity M&A falls to US$1.6b YTD

It dropped 41.9% YoY.

This chart from Thomson Reuters shows that private equity-backed mergers and acquisitions in Singapore fell 41.9% YoY to US$1.6b worth of deals YTD.

Last year, deals went as high as US$2.8b.

Part of this year's deals was Cyrus BidCo Pte Ltd, a unit of Blackstone Group LP.

It bought real estate business trust Croesus Retail Trust for $1.1b including its net debt.
