Chart of the day: Singapore non-oil export growth slows down to 9% in June

Growth was dragged as electronic demand cools.

This chart from Enterprise Singapore shows the year-on-year growth of non-oil domestic exports (NODX). June NODX rose by 9%, a slowdown from 12% in May.

Meanwhile, non-electronic NODX grew by 10.6% YoY, a slight drop from 11.7% last month. Food preparations (+48.0%), petrochemicals (+21.1%) and measuring instruments (+30.9%) contributed the most to the growth in non-electronic NODX

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted (SA) basis, NODX increased by 3.7% in June, an increase from 2.8% from last month.

On a SA basis, the level of NODX reached $17.7b in June 2022. This was higher than the previous month's $17.1b and levels a year ago.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
