He will meet with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah amongst others.

Lawrence Wong began his first overseas trip as Prime Minister with visits to Brunei and Malaysia.

Wong was in Brunei on 11 June and will visit Malaysia on the 12th.

He made the visits upon invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, and Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Malaysia Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

In Brunei, Wong and his delegation will have a royal audience with the sultan and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.

They will also meet His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the crown prince and senior minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Negara Brunei Darussalam, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah.

The delegation includes Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee, and Minister of State for Communications and Information and Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam.

Wong will then fly to Malaysia to meet his counterpart, as well as other Malaysian leaders.

During Wong’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong will be the acting prime minister.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
