PMI slips to 50.6 in March

The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for March was 50.6, marking the 19th month of expansion for the overall manufacturing sector.
Compared to February, expansion was slightly lower in March.
The Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (SIPMM) attributed the decline to a slower expansion rate in the key indexes of new orders, new exports, factory output, and employment.
Electronics PMI has been on a decline since November last year amidst heightened global trade risks due to ongoing geopolitical and trade tensions.
