Stop all unnecessary travel to Israel and the Gaza Strip amidst rocket attacks: MFA

Singaporeans living in Israel and the Palestinian Territories must also be vigilant.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) advised Singaporeans to avoid all travel to the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Israel’s borders with Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Syria, due to the continued rocket fire that started on 7 October 203.

“Singaporeans are also advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Israel because of the ongoing conflict,” read the statement.

Singaporeans who have important travel or living in these territories are likewise asked to exercise caution and monitor developments. They should also avoid areas known for public disturbances or where large crowds congregate, especially in the Old City and East Jerusalem including Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount.

They should take all necessary precautions for personal safety including purchasing comprehensive travel and medical insurance.

Singaporeans should also eRegister with the MFA in case of emergencies.

“Singaporeans are also advised to stay in touch with your family and friends so that they know you are safe,” read the statement.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
