Bunker sales up 3.58% YoY to 4.37 million tonnes in November

Bunker sales in November increased by 3.58% year-on-year to 4.37 million tonnes in November, the highest sale recorded in 22 months, data from the Maritime and Port Authority showed.

Compared to the previous month, bunker sales increased by 2.86%.

According to Reuters, the sales posted were higher even if there were lower vessel arrivals for bunkering in the Lion City, decreasing by 4% compared to the previous month at 3,299 vessel calls. The figure is slightly higher by 3% compared to the same period last year.

Bunker fuel traders interviewed by Reuters said the decline in marine fuel prices allowed some shippers to enter deals for bigger-volume stems.
