Sembcorp Marine secures contract for Australian energy company

The contract is to build and install a gas topside.

Sembcorp Marine has been awarded a contract to build a gas topside for a major Australian energy company.

The contract was made through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Marine Offshore Platforms Pte. Ltd. The contract is for engineering, procurement, construction and installation of a gas topside.

A topside refers to parts of an offshore drilling platform that are above the waterline.

Construction is estimated to last for four years.

Sembcorp Marine said the contract is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Group for the year ending 31 December 2022.
