Bank of China unveils global fintech innovation lab

It aims to showcase AI, blockchain, big data and cloud technologies.

Bank of China (BOC) unveiled its first global fintech innovation lab in Singapore with the aim of showcasing latest technologies in AI, blockchain, big data and cloud technologies, according to a press release. 

Housed in BOC Building, BOC Innovation Lab (Singapore) features a robotic customer service officer that is equipped with client identification and facial recognition capabilities.

The innovation lab will also set up a training structure that aims to strengthen financial innovation and research collaborations with fintechs, academe and the government. 

The R&D and collaboration space is located at BOC Plaza in Middle Road.
