A pilot trial has already begun with 15 MINDS participants.
CGS International Securities Singapore (CGS SG) has partnered with MINDSG Ltd to enhance financial literacy initiatives for persons with intellectual disabilities, caregivers, and MINDS staff.
Under the initiative, CGS SG will provide classes for MINDS clients, focusing on skills such as currency recognition, basic transactions, and arithmetic for calculating change through supermarket simulations.
A pilot trial has already begun with 15 MINDS participants.
The partnership is set to expand into other areas, including support for MINDS’ craft training programmes and social enterprise initiatives. CGS SG will also provide volunteer assistance and raise awareness of MINDS’ activities to strengthen the collaboration.
Beyond this initiative, CGS SG aims to broaden its financial literacy outreach to more groups. These efforts include engaging students through the flagship ASEAN Investment Challenge, conducting anti-scam workshops for seniors in partnership with the National Crime Prevention Council, and supporting individuals living with dementia and their caregivers through partnerships with TOUCH Community Services and ALLKIN Singapore.
