Eastspring Investments taps HSBC’s Vis Nayar as chief investment officer

He will begin his role as CIO on 3 June.

Prudential plc’s asset management business, Eastspring Investments, has appointed Vis Nayar as its chief investment officer (CIO).

Nayar will report to Eastspring CEO Bill Maldonado and join the company’s Executive Management Committee (EMC).

Before joining Eastspring Investments, Nayar worked for HSBC Asset Management for 25 years, with his most recent role being Global Chief Investment Officer for Equities.

Vis holds an MSc in Finance from the London Business School and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
