The financial sector raised $16.7b (US$12.4b) from bond markets YTD, down 12.8% from last year.

According to Thomson Reuters, the financial sector dominated Singapore's debt capital market (DCM) volume at 58%.

The energy and power sector followed with proceeds up 309% YoY from $645m (US$478m) to $2.7b (US$2b). It comprised 9% of the DCM volume.

Real estate also saw growth after it raised $2.4b (US$1.8b), a 74.6% increase from the first nine months of 2016.

It also made up 9% of the total DCM volume.
