NETS appoints Jeffrey Goh as CEO
Jocelyn Ang was also appointed as chief operating officer.
In a release, NETS, announced the appointment of Jeffrey Goh as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 31 October 2011.
Mr Goh co-founded AXS Pte Ltd, a solution provider and operator of an electronic service delivery network (ESDN). DBS Bank acquired the shares from the founders in 2008 and Mr Goh remained in the company as Chief Operating Officer.
He brings to NETS extensive experience in the payments industry, having been instrumental in growing AXS’ business from inception to its present position as the operator of the largest kiosk network in the country. Prior to AXS, Mr Goh has worked at the National Computer Board and IBM Singapore.
Said NETS Chairman Ching Wei Hong, “The payments industry is entering a new era with the advent of new technological advancements. We are delighted to have Jeffrey lead NETS as we expand our payment capabilities and pursue new payment channels.”
Mr Goh said, “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to lead one of Singapore’s best known companies. I look forward to building on NETS achievements over the past 26 years and delivering greater value for our shareholders and merchants.” Mr Goh holds a Master of Business Administration from the Western Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.
The company also announced Jocelyn Ang’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 31 October 2011. Ms Ang has been with NETS for more than 10 years, most recently as Managing Director, Sales & Partnership where she was managing the company’s EFTPOS and Internet businesses as well as merchant engagement and acquisition.
