Fast food outlet receipts rose 0.8% in October

Sole F&B sector to increase turnover.

Latest data from the Department of Statistics Singapore show that turnover of fast food outlets increased slightly by 0.8% in October 2013 over September 2013, after seasonal adjustment.

Out of the four F&B sectors, fast food outlets was the only to raise its turnover.

Restaurants, food caterers and other eating places (such as cafes and canteens), all recorded decreases in receipts of between 0.6% and 1.0% in October 2013 compared to the previous month.

But on a year-on-year basis, all categories recorded growth in sales in October 2013, with receipts increasing between 1.0% and 3.4% during this period.
