F&B sales grow weaker in June

Sales rose 1.8% YoY and declined by 3.2% MoM.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales expanded by 1.8 YoY in June, a weaker growth compared to May, when sales grew 3.0% YoY. 

Month-on-month, sales declined by 3.2%.

Sales value clocked in at $955m. Of the total sales value, 24.0% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), three of the four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in June, led by  Food Caterers, which posted a 19.3 YoY increase. 

Cafes, Food Courts and Other Eating Places recorded a 2.5% YoY sales increase, whilst Restaurants saw a 0.2 YoY uptick.

On the other hand,  Fast Food Outlets reported a 4.9 YoY dip in sales.
