No plans to sell spirits business: ThaiBev

The food and beverage firm said Spirits Product Group is still its core business.

After recent news on allegedly selling its spirit business, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) clarified that it made no plans to list nor sell Spirits Product Group.

“[ThaiBev] remains confident in its Spirits Product Group, one of the leading spirits players in ASEAN and the largest in Thailand, and a core business line for [ThaiBev] group,” the company said in a bourse filing.

It further advised the shareholders and investors to be cautious and seek professional advice when dealing with ThaiBev’s shares and securities.

ThaiBev recently plans to delist its subsidiary, Oishi Group, following its adjustments for the food business. Its EBITDA declined in the first quarter of 2023, which was driven by the subdued non-alcoholic beverage segment.
