Tung Lok Restaurants net loss reaches $2.6m in H1 2025

The group’s revenue decreased by 9.5% to $38.5m from $42.6m in H1 2024.

Tung Lok Restaurants has recorded a net loss attributable to the owners of the company amounting to $2.6m for the six months ended 30 September 2024 (H1 2025) due to the decline in overall revenue compared to the six-month period ended 30 September 2023 (H1 2024), according to a bourse filing.

The group’s revenue decreased by 9.5% to $38.5m in H1 2025 from $42.6m in H1 2024, attributed to a $2m loss of revenue contribution from three outlets that were closed during the financial year ended 31 March 2024 (FY 2024), a $1.5m lower revenue contribution from the catering business, and a $0.6m lower revenue contribution from existing outlets.

The gross profit decreased by 15.9% to $27.1m in H1 2025 from $30m in H1 2024, whilst the gross profit margin decreased by 0.2 percentage points (pp) to 70.3% in H1 2025 from 70.05% in H1 2024 due to higher food raw material costs.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
