Great Eastern and Doctor Anywhere partner to launch health and wellness programmes

About 40,000 insured members will soon access on-demand video consultations by August.

Great Eastern and healthtech startup Doctor Anywhere have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch integrated health and wellness tech services for the insurance firm’s customers.

The companies will leverage on one another’s platforms such as GE’s health and wellness and rewards digital platforms GETGREAT and UPGREAT, as well as Doctor Anywhere’s wellness Marketplace.

The first phase, which will go live on 1 August, will provide about 40,000 insured members under GE’s Live Great group insurance programmes with access to on-demand video consultations with registered doctors through its mobile app. The service will be progressively rolled out to more corporate clients over the next 6 months.

Patients requiring medication have the option to collect from any of the Doctor Anywhere clinics or have them delivered three hours of their consultation. They will also have easy access to their prescription details and electronic medical certificates (e-MCs) within the app.

Marketplace will also promote the insurer’s GREAT MozzieSafe.

Other initiatives will include the provision of medical screening services packaged with each maid insurance renewal for domestic helpers.. Travel insurance customers can also schedule for vaccination appointments to be done at the convenience of their home or workplace.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
