Accredify to aid in issuance of digital COVID-19 swab results

This initiative will be backed by funding support from IMDA’s ADS grant.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has appointed Accredify as a project lead in helping local private healthcare providers in issuing digital verifiable COVID-19 swab results, or HealthCerts.

This move follows a Ministry of Health's order requiring all pre-departure COVID-19 swab results given to travellers to adhere to the HealthCerts format, said Accredify in a media release.

“Encouraging general practitioners and small private healthcare providers to adopt HealthCert technology presents numerous benefits to clinics — in the future, HealthCerts can be expanded to include other documents such as medical certificates, care plans, immunisations, and other travel vaccinations,” added Accredify.

Moreover, the initiative would be backed by funding support from IMDA’s Advanced Digital Solutions Grant, which would subsidise up to 80% of an eligible clinic’s package.

The utilisation of Accredify’s issuance portal would automate the creation of HealthCerts.

Meanwhile, Accredify is reportedly already working with approximately 400 clinics and five laboratories across Singapore.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
