O2 Healthcare combats sleep deprivation with SG’s first private sleep lab

It uses HSA-approved equipment for sleep disorder management.

O2 Healthcare Group—an OUE Healthcare Limited (OUEH) subsidiary—launched O2 SleepWell Laboratory on 13 March 2026, establishing Singapore’s first private sleep laboratory to diagnose and treat sleep disorders such as sleep apnea.

The laboratory conducts overnight sleep studies at Cura Day Surgery Centre or at patient-selected locations, including homes, hotels, and hospital wards, according to a press release.

It uses Health Sciences Authority-approved equipment to screen, diagnose, and manage long-term treatment.

O2 Healthcare signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte Ltd., creating a framework to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to HSBC Life customers and increase access to sleep medicine treatments and insurance coverage.

The group also partnered with Parkway East Hospital to open a dedicated private sleep laboratory by mid-2026, focusing on detecting and managing complex sleep disorders.

Respiratory physician Dr. Lee Chuen Peng serves as Medical Director of O2 SleepWell, supported by certified sleep technologists who manage patient care from initial diagnosis to ongoing treatment.

Lee Yi Shyan, Chairman of OUEH, said the laboratory advances the national preventive health agenda, noting that clinical data shows sleep is a key component of overall health and well-being.

Sleep disorders are linked to chronic conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and depression, the press release said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
