Philips partners with SGH to establish MRI training centre in Singapore

The training center will facilitate the upskilling of radiographers in Singapore.

Philips and the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) have partnered to set up a first-of-its-kind Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Training Centre in Singapore.

Under the partnership, two SGH MRI radiographers will undergo Philips Clinical Application Training using a Train-the-Trainer approach to gain the latest, in-depth expertise in MR clinical practice.

Another training centre will also be set up in SGH as an educational hub for other radiographers from across the APAC region. SGH will host educational workshops, seminars, and training to upskill radiographers.

“This collaboration aligns with Philips’ vision of delivering better care for more people by raising the standards of care delivery. It is also part of our steady commitment to strategically work together with key health system stakeholders to improve the adoption and deepen the understanding of the latest imaging innovations in radiology,” Dr. Mark Burby, vice president of Health Systems at Philips APAC said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
