Thomson Medical unveils urgent care centre for non-emergency conditions

The facility offers diagnostic services supported by the Thomson Diagnostic Imaging Centre.

Thomson Medical has launched a 24-hour urgent care centre at its 187-bed facility on Thomson Road to provide medical support for non-emergency conditions.

The new centre offers diagnostic services supported by the Thomson Diagnostic Imaging Centre, including X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, 3D mammography, and specialised tests such as contrast-enhanced mammography and fluoroscopy.

The facility also houses a day surgery operating theatre for minor procedures, three observation beds for short-term patient monitoring, and a dedicated isolation room with negative air pressure to prevent the risk of infectious diseases.

According to the group, the centre is designed to handle medical issues including gastrointestinal and respiratory problems, minor injuries, skin conditions, eye problems, allergies, infections, and general ailments.

Moreover, patients have access to specialities such as internal medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, paediatrics, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, cardiology, ENT, and gastroenterology.

Meanwhile, the centre’s doctors will facilitate transfers to public or private hospitals for cases needing extended care of hospitalisation.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
