Tong Kooi Ong replaces Ng Ser Miang as Thomson chair

The leadership change takes effect 1 February following Ng Ser Miang’s resignation.

Thomson Medical Group Limited has named Tong Kooi Ong as its new chairman, starting 1 February.

The company said in a bourse filing that Tong will replace Ng Ser Miang after the latter’s resignation, effective 31 January.

Tong will lead Thomson Medical’s board of directors, composed of Lim Wee Kiat as executive vice chairman, Heng Jun Li Melvin as executive director and group chief executive officer, Wilson Sam as executive director and group chief financial officer, Ong Pang Liang as a non-independent and non-executive director, and Christina Teo Tze Wei and June Leong Lai Ling as independent and non-executive directors.
