Heeton Holdings’ Bhutan hotel to open doors in Q2 2025

The property is set to be the largest hotel in the country with 87 rooms.

Heeton Holdings Limited, a boutique hospitality company and real estate developer, plans to launch "Dawa at Hilltop by Heeton," a 5-star luxury resort in Paro, Bhutan, in the second quarter of the year.

According to a bourse filing, the group said the property will be the largest hotel in the country, with 87 rooms.

Heeton expanded its presence in the UK on 3 December 2024 through a joint venture to acquire Kintore House, an aparthotel at Queen Street Edinburgh, which will be refurbished and rebranded as the Heeton Concept Aparthotel, Queen Street, Edinburgh.

The 82-unit aparthotel is the group’s second property in Edinburgh city, further to the Stewart by Heeton Aparthotel, which was acquired in 2018. This addition marks the fifth Heeton Concept-branded hotel in the UK and the seventh worldwide.

Meanwhile, on 3 September 2024, Heeton, in partnership with Atelier Capital Changi and Dorsett Hospitality International, acquired Capri by Fraser Changi City in Singapore

This property has been rebranded to Dorsett Changi City Singapore and will undergo asset enhancement works slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025.

As of 31 December 2024, Heeton’s hospitality portfolio comprises 15 properties worldwide, including its flagship Heeton Concept Hotels, franchised, leased, and partner properties.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
