This was followed closely by positive online ratings of the property agent by other consumers (44%) and recommendations from friends and family members (43%).
Moreover, consumers were highly aware that agent commission is negotiable to reduce disputes over a property agent’s role (79%).
Further, property agents have clear avenues for improvement, as 43% of consumers believe agents could better understand client needs and offer professional advice.
Beyond initial advice, consumers also want agents to improve by conducting thorough checks for legal compliance (40%) and negotiating better prices and terms (38%).
