NIE NTU, AWS sign three-year deal to advance EdTech

A key initiative under this MoU is the launch of the Technology for Education Centre.

The National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NIE NTU, Singapore), and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost educational innovation and advance research in educational technology.

A key initiative under this MoU is the launch of the Technology for Education Centre (TEC), an innovation hub located on the NIE’s campus, aimed at supporting digital tools in teaching and learning.

The collaboration will give NIE staff and students access to resources for turning concepts into working prototypes, with the goal of improving education and addressing practical challenges.

It will also provide learning opportunities for educators to deepen their competencies in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging digital tools.

Key aspects of the partnership include setting up the TEC, cloud-focused learning initiatives, advancing applied research in AI and data analytics, service-learning projects creating real-world impact, and experiential platforms to spark student innovation with AI.
